Come live with me beneath the Living Tree
whose healing leaves and fruits shall never fade,
beneath whose boughs we need not seek for shade.
For Jesus Christ, the river without sea,
shall be the Sun within both you and me.
Come live with me beneath the Living Tree,
and we shall walk upon the golden street
and saints, once dead, now living, we shall meet,
the cloud of witnesses so great and free
that we may wonder where our place may be.
Come live with me beneath the Living Tree
and learn the reason why our feet were shod,
because we are His people, He our God,
and we shall share throughout eternity
the knowledge of our King eternally.
Come live with me beneath the Living Tree,
and we shall worship Him before His throne,
and we shall be His Bride and His alone,
the reason why He hanged upon the tree,
the little ewe the Lamb was slain to free.
Come live with me beneath the Living Tree,
and we shall be like Him in His embrace
because we shall see Jesus face to face.
Yet even so, Lord, come and say to me,
"Come live with me beneath the Living Tree."
