I offer gold and silver, precious stone,
and burn a fragrant wood and stubble, hay
and glories of the grasses, which I lay
on Thy foundation, Jesus Christ, alone,
on which is built Thy temple, not my own,
in which is set Thy altar, where I play
and dance before Thee while this is today
and worship Thee in all that Thou hast done.
Give to Thy people bread, and meat, and wine,
burnt offerings, and offerings of peace,
and please accept this offering of mine,
my prayer that worship of Thy Son increase,
because this is Thy will, that all be Thine
and worship of Christ Jesus never cease.
