Revival of Love: Psonnets and Other Poems of Life, Love, and the Lord

Psonnets of Courtship
I Ask for Nothing More

If you need prayer today, then I will pray
your need is met, whatever your need is,
if you will rest in Jesus. You are His.
I also want you to be mine, but nay,
our Father keeps and comforts me this way
because I prayed for you, but asked amiss,
and now I pray again for you since this
is what the Father would have me obey.
I pray God's will for you, and I pray for
God's will for me, for what is my own will?
I still love you as much now as before
I prayed for you. But now I pray until
your need is met, and ask for nothing more,
though I still love you so, and want you still.
