Ask Ye for Rain

Ask ye the Lord for latter rain so showers
may fall from heaven where spotless reward
in better vessels than our corn is stored,
and we shall bring forth bread and wine for hours
and celebrate because God's love is ours
and trust Him more in times of need and sword
and give Him what we easily afford
whenever fields are blossoming with flowers.
Our heritage shall be a watered place
with rivers running down from every hill,
where every man and woman know God's grace
and old and young together eat their fill,
if we repent and pray and seek His face.
For rain on earth, from heaven, is God's will.
