What will await you once you have returned
unto your father's house and childhood land,
and left the mission field, but not His hand?
Tell me about your journey, lessons learned,
the answered prayers, what still has you concerned,
the ways and works of God you understand,
and what the Holy Spirit yet has planned
once it is spiritually discerned.
I will be waiting for you at the gate,
God willing, watching for you to appear,
so I can laugh with you and celebrate
and comfort you and wipe away each tear
because I eagerly anticipate
whatever God has planned for you while here.
