Lift up your hands with holiness, and pray,
not incantations, chants, and spells unheard,
but prayers of faith according to His Word.
These demons will you cast out, yet I say:
Rejoice! Your name is written for that day!
No witch or wizard, ghost or dragon stirred
can keep you from His Word administered
by faith, because He leads you not astray.
This is a cross, and not a talisman, I took.
The fairy tales and fables which some tell?
You will not find them written in His Book,
but written in these books I buy and sell.
Believe them not. But go, I pray, and look,
and seek His will above, not things of hell.
