Take on, my love, His easy, equal yoke,
and as He leads us forth, and as we yield,
and as we plod and plow the fallow field,
and as we love and lovingly provoke
each other to good works as simple folk,
who humbly pray and seek His face revealed,
then as He turns our yoke, our land is healed
and grows good fruit no thorns or thistles choke.
Take on, my love, His equal yoke with ease.
Then we will learn of Him, lowly and meek,
who turns our yoke wherever He may please.
What do we ask of Him? What do we seek?
Where do we knock? Together, on our knees,
vows given, found, and openly we speak.
