Though I may follow Jesus and not stray;
though none go with me; though I go alone;
though I may walk with Him unto His throne;
though I may study, witness, fast, and pray;
though I may heed in all things and obey;
though all He gives to me shall be my own,
without you, my dear brother, have I known
all Jesus Christ would have me know today?
Although I know Him, no, I cannot know
Him as I may have known Him had we gone
together where Christ Jesus would we go,
you following me following Christ on,
I going where you go in Him, although
we each, alone, to Jesus must be drawn.
