Give us this day, I pray, our daily bread,
myself, my wife, our children food to eat,
and multiply the barley, corn, and wheat,
yet fill us with the faith, lest we feel fed
with bread alone, and not Thy Word instead.
Then tithes and offerings laid at Thy feet
will multiply one hundredfold and meet
the need of all of whom our prayer is said.
Now let us bow our heads as we say grace
through faith to bless our meal, the bread and cup,
and gather from the thousands we embrace
our daily bread with baskets lifted up,
with broken bread before Christ, face to face,
and open up our doors so Christ may sup.
