Revival of Love: Psonnets and Other Poems of Life, Love, and the Lord

Psonnets of Romance
Hand in Hand

It is not good for Man to be alone,
nor should the Woman be alone, and stand
against the world and devil without Man.
But from the founding of the world is known
what glory Man and Woman, One, have shown.
I would such glory know, and rather than
be standing all alone, one empty hand,
I take your hand and hold it in my own.
If we but always kiss, how would we talk?
If we always embrace, how would we run?
Such sentiment has caused my soul to balk
when we have better glory in the Son.
Thus hand in hand, we shall both speak and walk,
and in Christ Jesus first, we, too, are One.
