You gave me hands to raise and lips of praise
and dancing feet for worship at Your seat,
yet more than hands and lips and dancing feet,
You give the very praises and these days
to praise You for Your work and will and ways.
Yet earthly time with You is incomplete,
so come to me eternally, and meet,
and consummate all Your belov'ed prays:
O God, be true, and every man a liar!
May not my praises be of man's devices.
My broken and contrite heart You desire.
Your blood, O Jesus, for my sins suffices.
Baptize now with the Holy Ghost and fire
this body of my living sacrifices.
