How good and pleasant is the time I spend
with one whose ways are ways of pleasantness,
although each time is short, each moment less
than what I want to spend with you, my friend.
So when we meet together, I intend
to let the joy of His salvation bless
our time of fellowship with happiness
so you will also want it not to end.
But it will end, and you will go your way,
a pleasant way, for all your paths are peace,
yet if and when we meet again, I pray
our love and fellowship as friends increase
till you no longer want to go, but stay,
and love, and never want our love to cease.
