I freely offer you, without a price,
a vow of love, and with this wedding ring,
I offer you this freewill offering,
to give myself to you, not once nor twice,
but always as a living sacrifice.
But know before you answer anything
you also must be freely answering,
for marriage is of God's, not man's, device.
It celebrates our Savior's chivalry,
God's love revealed at the Nativity
and freely given us at Calvary,
which led forth captive all captivity
and raised a standard without rivalry,
foundation for all love and liberty.
