Who shall be great and chiefest among few?
that man who serves and ministers to me,
appointed to the lowest ministry.
For many have been called, but few shall do
such ministry; nor did I seek it, too.
But over neighbors or across the sea,
I am not called to lord authority,
but I am called and chosen to serve you.
For Jesus served His servants with the Bread,
which I remember every time we eat,
discerning Christ my Body, Christ my Head,
who being Head, still took the lowest seat,
and to His throne ascended from the dead
as our example, who would wash our feet.
