Your picture brings remembrances to mind
of times of fellowship and ministry
before you went on missions overseas.
Now that same picture serves me to remind
me when to pray - whenever I can find
a moment, now alone, upon my knees
to be in prayer about your faith and needs
so you in nothing lack or fall behind.
Your picture is illumined by the light
of sun and lamp now that we are apart,
the shadows I accept by faith, not sight,
because the will of God I know in part,
and also I in prayer, both day and night,
behold you in my spirit and my heart.
