When criminals will seek to spread their names
in public places ere the sight of men
by spraying walls with politics and sin,
they paint petit protests or petty games,
vulgarities or myriad of shames.
They preach a temporary gospel then.
But His eternal Gospel preaches when
you preach with brushes on the canvas frames.
As vandals revel in imagined spoils,
the revelations of Christ's love imbue
a certain candor through artistic toils.
Such portraitures of Jesus shall, anew,
anoint your portrait with the palette's oils
because the Spirit has anointed you.
