Revival of Love: Psonnets and Other Poems of Life, Love, and the Lord

Psonnets of Friendship
No Better Raiment

No better raiment can a woman wear
when such apparel covering her head
has glorified the supplications said
when she has bowed her head in solemn prayer,
her spirit, meek and quiet, far more fair
before her Lord than lace or golden thread,
her needs attended by the angels led
according to the Spirit spoken there.
Oh, how her head was honored as she prayed
according as the Spirit gave the Word,
and interceded till the Lord had stayed
His hand upon her, pleased by what He heard
when she was trusting in His will, afraid
of nothing, for her faith was undeterred.
