In these few words, I have hoped to convey
I looked for love, yet now look to the Lord
with expectation, trusting in His Word
for whom to love, for whom my soul has prayed,
whom I in times of faithlessness betrayed.
Yet I repented and believed God heard
and, faithful to forgive me, has restored
tomorrow, though I want her love today.
Today, I pray you shall be edified
in love and these few verses written down
and shall rejoice in what is testified.
O daughter of our Father, God shall crown
my head with favor, giving you, my bride,
a heavenly and earthly wedding gown.
