If I shall hear a tongue I have not heard,
then I may seek distinctively that face,
to see the one who speaks, to think what place
such foreign conversations have occurred.
And more so, in each sentence, in each word,
I may discern God's goodness and His grace,
for out of every tongue and tribe and race,
God promises a remnant in His Word.
For God shall seek a remnant for His Name
and give each heir a tongue and song anew
to call on Jesus Christ and to lay a claim
on life so - whether many, whether few -
that every tongue in faith shall speak the same.
For what the Lord has promised, He shall do.
