What I Have Seen and Heard

If I have heard your name and seen your face,
then have I heard and seen an answered prayer
about my wife, of whom and when and where?
For I have asked Him whom I will embrace
in His appointed time and chosen place.
But if as yet I still am unaware
that He has answered me in you, then bear
this burden for a little while with grace.
He made the seeing eye and hearing ear,
but what my eyes have seen and ears have heard
needs confirmation love is now and here
because my heart so easily is stirred
whenever I may meet and see and hear
a woman who is honoring God's Word.
