Psonnets of Romance
I Send My Love a Letter

I am a ready writer with my pen
to write my love a letter without pause
so she may know I love her. Every clause
that I have written could not be within
the hearts or minds of any other men,
and so she knows my love is with just cause,
I pray the Lord that men and winds and laws
may take my love my letter and my yen.
It costs so little, but it means so much,
to send my love a letter in the mail.
To go without her presence and her touch
could easily have caused my heart to fail,
but I have in my pen and writing such
a way to speak to her, love shall prevail.
