If we shall fall in love and feel assured
this is God's will; if this is other than
His good, acceptable, and perfect plan,
God shall reveal to us how we have erred.
For neither eye has seen nor ear has heard
nor has it entered in the heart of man
the things God has prepared us, but He can
reveal them by His Spirit and the Word.
If we shall count it loss, and all things loss,
for what God shares and has already shared,
then we shall wed with rings untouched by dross
in faith to spouses whom He has prepared
because we love the Lord and bear the cross
in love because His own Son was not spared.
