Revival of Love: Psonnets and Other Poems of Life, Love, and the Lord

Psonnets of Friendship
Still Life

The canvas and acrylics imitate,
obliged by blossoms, bulbs, and blooms,
and imitate creations Man assumes
are his alone to change and recreate.
But alterations made cannot create
the flower, dead. To ashes it resumes,
a memory in vain that Man exhumes
because he shall be sharing that same fate.
But better immortality is yours
than painted buttercups and goldenrod
displayed or kept behind closed doors
because it wins contemporary laud.
For your still life eternally endures.
Be still in Christ, and know that He is God.
