The Time of Love Had Come

The Lord has given us this joyful day
because so many years ago was made
my friend in faith, whom I am not afraid
to love as Christ has loved, in every way.
For many years ago, she knelt to pray
and fearfully and wonderfully prayed
so neither man nor angel could persuade
her soul to forsake Christ and go astray.
For from the deepest places of the earth,
God wrote down all her members in His Book
and set the time and circumstance of birth,
and when the time of love had come, He took
her for His own and filled her with His worth
till He was ravished by her every look.
