Revival of Love: Psonnets and Other Poems of Life, Love, and the Lord

Psonnets of Worship
The Used Book

I bought a "used" book from the library,
a marked New Testament for fifty cents,
while patrons borrowed other testaments:
my health, my wealth, and my prosperity,
the answers, each and every mystery,
sold on the (un)used shelf of discontents.
How to confess this sin? Yet who repents?
For fifty cents, I bought my liberty.
God give me favor, then, to give away
the bless'ed message of this little book
I should and want to study every day,
but which I, like the public, overlook
and peddle not for profit. Lord, I pray,
forgive me for this liberty I took.
