Shall I remember all the ways you care?
The love, the peace, the gentleness surpass
what I have known from any other lass -
yet not as if another could not bear
the fruits you so abundantly now share.
But many voices are as sounding brass
whose glories fade as flowers of the grass
because the Holy Spirit is not there.
Yet if my memories of you should fade,
remembrances of you shall be restored
when I shall stand in glory, where are laid
rewards of spotless treasures, which were stored
the moments when you spoke with me and prayed
because you loved your brother in the Lord.
