The Wedding Scriptures

Where are the Scriptures we have read
that led us into loving Christ alone,
persuading us that, yes, we are His own?
Our elders speak of us, and there is said
that we are Spirit-filled and Spirit-led,
and good seed sown in good ground grown,
and good fruit from good trees is known.
Thus, open up the Scriptures. Let us wed,
and live, and love, and cease of single strife,
and search and study Scriptures side by side,
where 'tis not written that you are my wife,
but where is written that you are His Bride,
and written in the last Lamb's Book of Life
are you and I, for whom our Groom has died.
