I pray for you whenever I awake.
I pray for you before I fall asleep.
God's goodness and His mercies bless and keep
your journey as you travel for His sake.
And when I feel a little joy or ache
and feel I must in praying laugh or weep,
then I shall mourn with tears or dance and leap
so I can also in God's will partake.
I read about how baby Moses wept
and Pharaoh's daughter's heart with love was stirred.
I read about how John the Baptist leapt
within the womb when Mary's voice was heard.
So I shall weep and leap, as I have kept
you in my prayer times as you preach the Word.
