Where will I meet you? Have I met you yet
in fellowship, in work, or in the street?
where brethren break bread? where strangers eat?
So many places eyes and lips have met,
and couples walk with children they beget,
yet there are places we will also meet
if I already have beheld your feet
or will behold them when the Lord will let.
The day our children ask about our past,
then we will tell them how the Spirit led
us to each other with each prayer and fast,
with Scriptures we have read and vows we said,
for wherever we meet at first, at last
the aisle and altar are where we will wed.
