A kingly vineyard I would keep for You,
but when I went to gather grapes for wine,
I found I was abiding in the Vine.
When I am purged, O Lord, I weep for You.
So I would feed the lambs and sheep for You,
but when You sought one hundred, ninety-nine
were counted, for the path astray was mine.
You sought me out, a love so deep for You.
Three tabernacles I would build for three,
for Moses and Elijah, if You willed,
but You prepare a mansion, built for me,
so now no earthly temple will I build,
for I will rest from work eternally
because the Law and Prophets are fulfilled.
