Shall Signs and Wonders?

Shall signs and wonders win your heart and hand?
For Joshua commanded sun and moon
stand still at Gibeon and Ajalon
as Israel fought for the Promised Land.
I pray for miracles, but rather than
your eyes be drawn away from God the Son,
I ask that by God's grace your heart be won,
and God may heed again the voice of man.
For I shall pray the Lord with fervency,
not for the heavens like a scroll to part,
nor for the islands of the sea to flee,
nor that the sun and moon and stars depart,
nor for your eyes of faith to look on me,
but that the love of Jesus wins your heart.
