Psonnets of Friendship
Your Face

I am content at times to hear your voice
explain a mission in a far off place
as I sit quietly and watch your face
as it is washed with wonder, bright with joy
unspeakable. Such testimonies buoy
your spirit with the Gospel of His grace
which many more may heartily embrace
if they shall look upon how you rejoice.
Your face - your eyes and tongue - and how it speaks
is not contorted, but is comforted
because the sin and death the devil seeks
have been retorted and discomfitted.
So shall your witness in the coming weeks
be on your face and tongue, and spirited.
